The MaxLidar™ MB8000 is a precision Time-of-Flight (ToF) LiDAR sensor built to deliver reliable distance measurements in real-world industrial environments. With a 25 meter maximum range, ±6 cm accuracy (0.1–6 m), 1 cm resolution, and adjustable refresh rates from 1 Hz to 1000 Hz, the MB8000 offers both high precision and fast response for demanding applications.
Designed for harsh and dusty conditions, the MB8000 features a built-in automatic lens cleaning system that actively clears debris from the optics. This integrated wiper reduces maintenance, minimizes downtime, and ensures consistent performance where other sensors fail. Its rugged housing is compact, lightweight, and IP5X-rated for dependable operation in both industrial and automation settings.
The sensor’s Class 1 (IEC60825) eye-safe VCSEL laser with a 3° field of view maintains accurate, stable measurements even under bright 100 Klux lighting. Optimized optical design and onboard filtering algorithms further enhance data stability, making it a reliable solution for vehicle detection, proximity sensing, conveyor feedback, and smart infrastructure integration.
Connectivity is flexible and straightforward: the MB8000 supports both UART (115200 bps default) and I2C (400 kbps) interfaces. With low power requirements (4.8–5.5 V DC, ≤2 W), a wide operating temperature range (−20 °C to +60 °C), and easy integration into OEM systems, the MB8000 is engineered to perform where durability and accuracy are critical.
Ideal for demanding applications
Whether deployed for vehicle detection, automation systems, or smart infrastructure projects, the MaxLidar™ MB8000 delivers precise, dependable data in environments where dust, debris, and challenging conditions typically degrade sensor performance.
